Voice Change বা Active → Passive পরিবর্তন ইংরেজি ব্যাকরণের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অধ্যায়। প্রায় সব ধরনের প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরীক্ষা যেমন— BCS, NTRCA, ব্যাংক, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ভর্তি পরীক্ষা ইত্যাদিতে নিয়মিতভাবে এ বিষয় থেকে প্রশ্ন আসে।সঠিকভাবে নিয়ম আয়ত্ত করতে পারলে শুধু পরীক্ষায় ভালো নম্বরই নয়, বরং লিখিত ও কথ্য ইংরেজিতেও দক্ষতা বাড়ে। এ লেখায় Active থেকে Passive Voice-এ রূপান্তরের সহজ নিয়ম, ব্যাখ্যা এবং উদাহরণ তুলে ধরা হলো, যাতে আপনি অল্প সময়ে বিষয়টি ভালোভাবে বুঝতে ও মনে রাখতে পারেন।

Transformation of sentences.

1) I post the letter.

Ans- The letter is posted by me.

2) My sister broke the glass.

Ans:- The glass was broken by my sister.

3) Boys are catching fishes.

Ans:-Fishes are being caught by Boys.

4) We made him captain.

Ans:- He was made captain by us.

5) Rima read a book.

Ans:-A book was read by Rima.

6) She kills herself.

Ans:- She is killed by herself.

7) He was making a noise.

Ans:-A noise was being made by him.

8) All knew them.

Ans:- They were known to all.

9) I shall not give her a mobile phone.

Ans:- A mobile phone shall not be given by me.

10) The student speaks English well.

Ans:- English is spoken by the student well.

11) Mr. Ali teaches us English.

Ans:- English is taught us by Ms. Ali.

Or, We are taught English by Ms. Ali.

12) My sister read a book.

Ans:- A book was read by My sister.

13) He can help the poor.

Ans:- The poor can be helped by him.

14) They ate a lot of mangoes.

Ans:- A lot of mangoes were eaten by them.

15) I know the man very well.

Ans:- The man is known to me yery well.

16) My sister will sing a Palli Geeti.

Ans:- A palli Geeti will be sung by my sister.

17) The teacher teaches us English.

Ans:- English is taught us by the teacher.

Ans:- The letter must be posted by you today.

31) He ran a race.

Ans:-A race was run by him.

32) We called him a fool.

Ans:- He was called a fool by us.

33) He is going to open a bank account.

Ans:- A bank account is going to be opened by him.

34) I eat rice.

Ans:- Rice is eaten by me.

35) Honey testes sweet.

Ans: -Honey is sweet when it is tested.

Structure:

Active: Verb + Object + বাকী অংশ
➡️ Passive: Let + Object + be + Verb (3) + বাকী অংশ
Active: Let + me/you/us/him/her/them/noun + Verb (1) + Object
➡️ Passive: Let + Object + be + Verb (3) + by + me/you/us/him/her/them/noun

1) Post the letter.

Ans:- Let the letter be posted.

2) Do the sums now.

Ans:-Let the sums be done now.

3) Let him do the work.

Ans:- Let the work be done by him.

4) Tell him to go.

Ans:- Let him be told to go.
